Central Florida Co-ops, Classes & Groups

☀️ Find Your Homeschool Community

Homeschooling doesn't have to mean doing everything at home — or doing it alone.

Central Florida has homeschool co-ops, enrichment programs, classes, field trip groups, and social communities where kids can learn, make friends, and try new activities.

Use this guide as a starting point to find the right fit for your family.

📚 Homeschool Co-ops & Enrichment Programs

💛 Choosing the Right Group

Not every homeschool group works the same way.

Before joining, consider:

Parent participation — Some co-ops require a parent to stay, volunteer, or teach.

Drop-off vs. family participation — Enrichment programs may allow drop-off, while traditional co-ops often rely on parents.

Faith-based vs. nonreligious — Some Central Florida homeschool communities have a Christian statement of faith or specific values.

Academic vs. enrichment — Decide whether you're looking for core academic support, electives, socialization, or simply a place to make friends.

Age groups — Some programs serve everyone from preschool through high school, while others specialize in certain ages.

Commitment — Some programs allow individual classes or events, while others require semester or yearly registration.

Location — Central Florida is BIG. A great program isn't necessarily a great fit if you're spending hours driving there every week.

☀️ Sunshine Tip ☀️

You don't have to join a traditional co-op to build a homeschool community.

Some families love structured weekly co-ops, while others build their community through enrichment classes, sports, field trips, park meetups, library programs, church activities, and homeschool social groups.

Choose what works for your family — and don't be afraid to try something different if the first group isn't the right fit.
